Skills Development Scotland - Foundation Apprenticeships

Skills Development Scotland are supporting young people to build the skills they'll need to become successful in the workplace. Foundation Apprenticeships help young people gain valuable, real-world work experience and access work-based learning while they’re still at school.

For young people it’s the chance to get a head start on their careers by gaining an industry-recognised qualification, work on real projects and broaden their career options when they leave school. And for employers, it’s the chance to attract highly motivated and committed young people who

are willing to learn, identify young people who are right for their businesses and ensure their organisations have people with the necessary skills.

If you would like to find out more about Foundation Apprenticeships, click here.

One of our pupils, Jack Johnson, has undertaken a Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services. To read more about his experiences click here.

Career in Accountancy with Campbell Dallas, Perth - Apply as early as possible

We recruit school leavers each year to begin their accountancy career, by offering them a real, credible alternative to going to university.  Applicants would need a minimum of 4 or 5 A or B level at Scottish Higher grade (or equivalent) – this should include English and Mathematics.

The programme allows school leavers to complete their AAT qualification and is the starting point to then go on and pursue a further professional qualification, either ACCA or ICAS.  This means that school leavers can become a qualified accountant typically one year earlier than if they go to university.  Interested?  More information about the positions plus an application form can be found here on their website.

We would encourage you to apply as early as possible to be considered for one of our vacancies, as vacancies will be filled as and when suitable candidates apply. Please note only applications received via the application form will be considered.
