We encourage pupils to follow our school uniform policy by working closely with parents, pupils and our Parent Council. We remind pupils of our uniform policy at assemblies and in newsletters.
We aim to be consistent and fair. We understand there may occasionally be instances when it is impossible for your child to come to school in uniform. In these cases, please send a note with your daughter/son to explain the reason. Our priority is to see your child in school, learning and developing their social skills with their friends.
If a pupil has no justifiable reason for not wearing school uniform, we will contact parents by phone, text or letter. In extreme or persistent cases a pupil may be sent home to change into their uniform after contact has been made with parents.
All pupils should wear:
Black school trousers or skirt, worn no shorter than 5-8 cm above the knee.
A plain white school shirt with collar, sleeves and buttons to the neck.
The KHS School tie, available from the school office £4.50 for a Junior Tie (S1-S4) and £9 for a Senior Tie (S5-S6).
A black or grey jumper or cardigan.
Comfortable black footwear.
In addition to the above, our KHS purple blazer. Please note that Blazers must be worn by all sixth year pupils who opt to become prefects.
We are keen, however, to encourage all pupils to wear a school blazer. These can be obtained from the Kinross High School Parent Council email@example.com or from the school office
Items of Kinross High School's PE kit are available from the following website: www.schoolwearmadeeasy.com
Please note: plain versions of the PE kit (ie without badge) are acceptable and are available widely from other stockists.
Traditionally boys have worn white shorts and girls wear purple shorts, however, there is now an option for boys to wear black shorts and girls three quarter length black leggings.
