Human Biology Higher


1) Physiology and Health.
2) Neurobiology and Immunology.
3) Human Cells. 


This course studies the relationships between the parts of the body and how it works. There is a practical element to the course and learners are how shown to investigate.

Entry Pre-requisites 

Learners are expected to have studied Biology successfully at National five level. If this was not the case entry would be accepted if the learner had shown strong performance in at least one other science at National five level.


Written exam (3 hrs)  = 80%
Practical assignment   = 20% 

Leads to:

Provides a solid foundation to learn Advanced Higher Biology. Higher Human Biology is also often an entry requirement for study of many science and medical based courses at university.
